By using GemOwl, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
2. What GemOwl provides
GemOwl helps users identify supported trading cards, save scan History, and view available third-party market-price references. Features and supported cards may change over time.
3. Estimates are not appraisals
Card recognition and market data may be inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed. Prices are estimates for informational purposes only. GemOwl does not authenticate or professionally grade cards, guarantee a sale price, or provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Verify important decisions independently.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use GemOwl only for lawful, personal purposes.
- Review card matches and details before relying on them.
- Scan only cards or images you are permitted to use.
- Not disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the service.
- Not use GemOwl to infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.
5. Third-party services and content
GemOwl relies on third-party services for some features. Their availability, content, and terms are outside our control. References to cards, games, marketplaces, or providers do not imply endorsement or affiliation.
6. Optional subscriptions
GemOwl may offer an auto-renewing Pro subscription. The duration, price, trial terms, and features are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting GemOwl does not cancel an active subscription. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Features may also be governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.
7. Intellectual property
GemOwl’s software, brand, interface, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. Trading card names, artwork, marks, and related materials belong to their respective owners. GemOwl is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the owners of the trading card games it supports.
8. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably needed for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or product development. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
9. Disclaimer and limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GemOwl is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. SYNCTECH SP Z O O will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of GemOwl. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. App Store terms
If you download GemOwl through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s applicable standard end-user license terms and store rules also apply. Apple is not responsible for GemOwl’s support, maintenance, or content except as required by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as GemOwl changes. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
